Hi. I’m a writer, TV host and producer. That’s me pounding maple syrup out of a flask on the mean streets of Toronto.

I used to write for places like Bloomberg Businessweek, The New York Times, The Economist and The Register.

But now I’m running Core Memory - a media company focused on science and technology.

To the extent that it matters to anyone, I’m a NYT best-selling book author, and my stories and TV episodes have won numerous awards. I’m currently producing a drama TV series (about Elon Musk) and recently put out Wild, Wild Space for HBO and Don’t Die for Netflix.

Born in South Africa and raised (mostly) in Texas, I now live in California with an absolute ten of a wife and two pretty decent boys.
